Legal protection
Many business insurance policies include legal expenses cover, which means that the insurance company will reimburse you for part of your costs for legal representation in a dispute, regardless of whether you are the plaintiff or the defendant. As a policyholder, you often have to pay a relatively low fixed excess. The insurance company then reimburses 80% of the excess amount up to a certain ceiling, normally between 5 and 20 price base amounts. The exact conditions vary depending on the insurance company and the type of policy. It is therefore a good idea to consider having an insurance policy that includes legal protection. At NORMA, we can help you apply for and administer legal expenses cover in the event of a dispute, as well as request payment from the insurance company.
