Sustainability at NORMA

NORMA believes that sustainability is necessary to strengthen business. We are convinced that we can make a difference in the small perspective, as well as on a larger level. NORMA has an internal sustainability group consisting of lawyers as well as management and administrative staff who work strategically with NORMA’s sustainability issues.

NORMA is committed to social sustainability and recognises that there are many challenges where we can contribute to improvement. That’s why we have a number of strategic partnerships where we actively work for a better society. We are proud of our strategic partnership with Göteborgs Räddningsmission, a non-profit organisation that works tirelessly to reduce social vulnerability in society and conducts activities that make life better for both children and adults. We are also a proud partner of BK Häcken, an elite sports club with a particularly ambitious and honest programme for sustainability and gender equality.

We recognise that there are sustainability challenges in our industry too. For example, gender equality in the industry is still not where it should be. NORMA has established an internal gender equality council to ensure that our workplace has the best possible conditions for gender equality. The gender equality council includes employees from all roles in the organisation. In addition, NORMA actively seeks dialogue with both the Swedish Bar Association and other law firms on how we can jointly overcome gender equality issues in the industry.

Of course, we make sure to be economical with the resources we consume, and keep our travel environmentally sustainable as far as possible. All NORMA employees undergo regular environmental training, and we are environmentally certified according to the Swedish Environmental Base standard.
